Testimonial – How we helped Stance Healthcare – Rooftop Unit
February 19, 2014
Recently, we were approached by Stance Healthcare about a replacement rooftop unit to provide all of their heating and cooling needs.
Stance Healthcare is a Canadian manufacturer of healthcare furniture products of the highest standard of quality. Besides their understanding of healthcare environments and the furnishings that create them, there are three features that set their products apart from the crowd: Scope of product offering, superior construction quality and healthcare-specific features.
When we started to assess the needs of their company such as building size, type of business, how many BTU’s were currently in place and the efficiency of the current unit versus the options of standard or newer units we put our thinking caps on. At Hogg we are committed to forward thinking and an energy saving future, which for the most part requires more time, work, dedication and implementation. With some digging and the help of the saveonenergy programs available we found the perfect solution. Here is a testimonial from Bruce at Stance that shows our dedication, passion and persistence also known as the much needed work behind the scenes that most other companies would prefer not to advance in to.
We at Stance Healthcare were in need of a rooftop heating and cooling unit. We were looking to minimize our costs which meant a less efficient unit. However, the gentlemen from Hogg Heating & Air Conditioning showed us with the saveONenergy incentives available and the reduction in operating costs, that we could actually be further ahead in the first year if we bought a high efficiency unit.
Bruce Kennedy, Stance Healthcare
It would have been easy for us to simply walk into the building, climb up on the roof, look at the current units rating plate (details of the unit, BTU’s, Model and Serial numbers, etc) and quote on a newer similar model for replacement. What most HVAC contractors don’t look at is how efficient the unit is and how much more efficient could a new higher efficiency unit be, the energy savings, operating costs, the incentives and rebates that can all be provided with some extra effort. In this case, again with the help of saveonenergy by paying a little more for the higher efficiency rooftop unit they would be exactly as Bruce stated “further ahead in the first year.”
There are a lot of programs out there with incentives, rebates, energy savings programs and special offers to help save you energy. These tools ultimately lower your commercial or residential operating costs/utility bills. You don’t have to memorize them all, because we are happy too! If you think you are overspending, help us help you by giving us a quick call!
