Trane Furnaces keep on Chugging
January 30, 2015
When you start looking for a new furnace (preferably before the old one gives out) you will encounter dozens of different companies all claiming to offer the best product. Out of all of these companies and the variety of equipment that they offer, what brands do you research?
One company that has been gaining a lot of positive press lately is Trane. Trane is a sister company to the household name American Standard and offers products that can easily keep pace with their better-known counterparts.
Trane is actually a world leader when it comes to reliable HVAC equipment. Recently, the company showed off their 2015 wares at the NAHB International Builders Show in Nevada at the beginning of the month. Attendees were not disappointed. Trane showed their trademark reliability paired with a large amount of innovation to keep them at the forefront of the HVAC industry.
According to Mark Hall, a Trane Residential HVAC builder, “Innovation, reliability and energy efficiency are built into every Trane product, and The New American Home is another great way to inspire builders to create homes that deliver the ultimate in comfort and con0trol for their customers.”
What does this mean for you, though? Well, Trane has been working constantly to create a more efficient furnace. Their models can be up to 97.5 per cent efficient (earning them an ENERGY STAR rating) and can help keep your energy bills lower. They also include things such as variable speed heat pumps, whole-home air filtration and what they are coining a “home comfort command centre.”
The new variable speed heat pumps Trane have developed help to heat your home more efficiently. The fans that circulate air inside your furnace and home are set to change speeds as the ambient temperatures both in- and outside fluctuate. This means that only the needed amount of heat is pushed up through your ducts and your house is kept at the desired temperature more efficiently.
The whole home air filtration system is also a very nice addition. According to trials, it is able to deliver air eight times cleaner than air that has been filtered using a HEPA filter. Even better, it is up to 100 times more effective than a standard furnace filter.
Finally, the Trane ComfortLink II XL950 will give you more control than ever when regulating home comfort. The system has a seven inch screen that allows you to monitor your energy use, check outdoor and indoor temperatures, track the local five-day forecast and check radar. It will also sync with some smartphones, allowing you to control your home’s temperature remotely. You will never have to wonder if you turned down the thermostat again!
These innovations and more are included with many of the new models of Trane furnaces, so when it comes time for you to start hunting for a new heating system, make sure to look at what Trane has to offer.
