Heat Recovery Ventilators by Nutech R. Holdings – VOLUNTARY RECALL

Ontario’s Electrical Safety Authority is alerting the public to a voluntary recall of Heat Recovery Ventilators (HRV) manufactured by Nutech R. Holdings.
The agency reports the HRV motors can overheat, causing a fire hazard. The units have been blamed for nine fires across the province.

According to HRV Info Online they are recommending that anyone who has a Nutech HRV manufactured between 1992 to 1998 are too call for an inspection and may be at a possible risk. Here is a list of the brands that qualify LIFEBREATH, TRADEWINDS, HONEYWELL, LENNOX, FRESH-X-CHANGER, AMERICAN ALDES, RAYDOT, STANDEX, SEARS AUTHORIZED INDOOR CLEAN AIR SERVICES, NUTONE AND AIRFLOW.
